Dr. Stephanie Cologna
University of Illinois Chicago
We are privileged to host Dr. Stephanie Cologna, Principal Investigator at the Cologna Lab, University of Illinois Chicago. A pioneer in the molecular analysis of Niemann-Pick Type C, Dr. Cologna utilizes cutting-edge mass spectrometry to map the intricate landscape of lipids and proteins within the brain. Her lab’s groundbreaking work in identifying specific biomarkers is crucial for early detection and tracking disease progression. By decoding the chemical language of NPC, Dr. Cologna is helping to rewrite the narrative from uncertainty to targeted precision medicine.
